Create a product comparison chart/Order samples: To create a product comparison chart that lists the typical chemical analysis and physical properties for each selected product, check the box next to the product(s) that you want to view and then click "Compare Products." From this product comparison chart you created, you can order product samples by checking "Order Sample" at the bottom of the chart column for that product and then clicking "Submit."

 

Talc Technical Grade

Coatings - Talc is used in paints and coatings as an extender pigment. The presence of the talc modifies the rheological properties, surface characteristics of the wet and dried film, and increases the chemical resistance and weatherability of the coating.

Plastics - Talc is used as a filler and reinforcing agent in a wide variety thermoplastic and thermoset polymers. The presence of the talc modifies the rheological and physical properties of the polymer.

Paper - Talc is used as a filler in paper and paper coatings to increase the brightness and improve the printability of the finished paper.

Other - Very coarse talc is used as roofing granules on asphalt shingles. Moderate and finely ground talcs are used as carriers for insecticides and other agriculture products, and as fillers in joint compounds, caulks, grouts, adhesives, dusting agents, etc.
