Titanium Dioxide BC Purified


The non-toxic and inert nature of Titanium Dioxide leads to it’s use as a colorant and opacifier in the food, drug and cosmetic industries. Purified grades of Titanium Dioxide are used for the following applications.

Pharmaceuticals - Used as a colorant for ointments, capsules, lotions, creams and various dosage forms. Product #325 is the preferred grade for pharmaceutical applications.

Cosmetics - Used as a colorant for creams, lotions, powders, eye shadows, lip sticks and other cosmetic preparations. Product #323 is used for applications when you want the titanium dioxide to disperse in oil, but not migrate into the water phase. This is the preferred grade for cosmetic and high resistant applications.

Food - Use is limited to a maximum of 0.5% in coloring foods without standards of identity. It is used as a colorant and opacifier in foods, beverages, candies, pet and animal foods, etc.

Oil Dispersible Grades - BSI offers two grades of Oil Dispersible - Anatase TiO2.

325 - Oil Dispersible Anatase
323 - Oil Dispersible Anatase

Water Dispersible Grades - BSI Offers a variety of water dispersible grades in both Anatase and Rutile form.. Please note that #2258 is approximately 15% stronger in tinting strength than the anatase crystal grades of TiO2. It is best used when a greater opacity is desired with a lower loading of TiO2.
